ABOUT US

We Support Industrial Hemp Research

In
Kenya

The Kenya Industrial Hemp Youth Association (KIHYA) is a youth-led movement dedicated to organizing young Kenyans to support industrial hemp research and civic education. We believe that industrial hemp has the potential to create jobs, drive innovation, and transform multiple industries—from manufacturing and construction to textiles, foods, and biofuels.

However, for Kenya to develop a thriving industrial hemp economy, the government needs solid data and research to guide policy and regulation. That’s where KIHYA comes in. Our mission is to mobilize young people to actively support the companies and researchers working to deliver these critical facts to the government. By organizing awareness campaigns, human resource support, financial assistance, and advocacy efforts, we ensure that industrial hemp researchers have the backing they need to push Kenya’s hemp industry forward.

Public Assemblies & Community Engagement

KIHYA organizes Town Hall Meetings, Educational Events, Recreational Gatherings, and Street Broadcasts to increase awareness about industrial hemp and its potential. These events help the public understand the benefits of hemp and mobilize more youth to join the movement, strengthening national support for industrial hemp policy reform.

Training & Skill Development

We offer training programs to teach young Kenyans how to farm, process, and create businesses around industrial hemp. Our goal is to empower a new generation of hemp entrepreneurs, sustainable manufacturers, and skilled professionals ready to lead the industry.

Supporting Industrial Hemp Research

Rather than just educating individuals, our goal is to mobilize and organize youth to assist industrial hemp research companies. These companies are responsible for generating the data and reports that will help convince the government to support and legalize an industrial hemp economy.
